Therapy Outcome Measure: Scales and resources for assistive technology, external devices and equipment

The Therapy Outcome Measure for Rehabilitation Professionals was developed in the mid-1990s and designed to be a simple, reliable, cross-disciplinary and cross-client group method of gathering information on a broad spectrum of issues associated with therapy and rehabilitation. Since that time, its validity and reliability have been established, and the TOM has become an important tool for all AHP and other professionals working with a wide range of client groups.

This book, covering assistive technology, external devices and equipment, provides a guide on the use and scales for a specialist set of conditions, enabling the team/clinician working with clients who require assistive technology immediate access to the relevant adapted scales, information and resources. This book would be of particular interest to those working in  AAC and equipment services. Although a standalone volume, it should be used in conjunction with the Therapy Outcome Measure Handbook to ensure detailed understanding of its rationale and development.
